Summer may get most of the attention in Ogunquit, but anyone who knows us knows that some of the best nights at Jonathan’s happen after the beach chairs are packed away.
The pace around town slows down a little, the evenings get cooler, and upstairs at Jonathan’s, the stage stays very busy.
This October and November, our Upstairs Listening Room at Jonathan’s Ogunquit goes from blues piano and legendary folk singers to Bob Marley comedy, Fleetwood Mac, U2, the Eagles, Tom Petty, American Idol favorite Crystal Bowersox and plenty in between.
And because this is Jonathan’s, you can have dinner downstairs, walk upstairs and settle in for a show, all without moving your car.
Here’s what we have planned for fall 2026.
Jonathan’s Ogunquit’s fall 2026 entertainment schedule runs from October 2 through November 28, with live music, comedy, tribute shows and special events in the Upstairs Listening Room. Highlights include Bob Marley, Crystal Bowersox and Paula Poundstone, along with tributes to the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, U2, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Steve Miller and Van Morrison.
Live Music in Ogunquit Kicks Off October
We open October with two very different nights featuring musicians with some impressive résumés.
On Friday, October 2 at 8:00 PM, Aztec Two-Step 2.0 returns to Jonathan’s. Aztec Two-Step has been part of the American folk-rock landscape for more than five decades, beginning when Rex Fowler and Neal Shulman met at a Boston open mic in 1971. The current lineup, led by Fowler and Dodie Pettit, carries that musical legacy forward with Aztec Two-Step favorites and music from their acclaimed Simon and Garfunkel repertoire.
The following night, Saturday, October 3 at 7:30 PM, pianist Anthony Geraci brings a Night of Jazz and Blues to Jonathan’s.
Geraci is a two-time Blues Music Award winner of the Pinetop Perkins Piano Player Award and has earned 19 Blues Music Award nominations. Over more than four decades, he has performed and recorded with artists including Ronnie Earl, Sugar Ray and the Bluetones, Charlie Musselwhite and Duke Robillard.
His Jonathan’s show also comes just after the September release of his newest album, Where Were You, on legendary blues label Delmark Records.
Not a bad way to start October.
’80s and ’90s Dance Music and an Intimate Night with Suede
There are listening-room nights, and then there are nights when sitting still is probably not going to happen.
On Friday, October 9 at 8:30 PM, Carbonated is back for an ’80s and ’90s dance party.
Expect the music of Journey, Rick Springfield, Loverboy, Duran Duran, The Cars, Goo Goo Dolls, Sublime, Simple Minds, The Outfield and Poison, with the occasional Led Zeppelin or Rush song making its way into the mix.
The next evening brings a complete change of pace.
On Saturday, October 10 at 7:00 PM, Suede, accompanied by Fred Boyle on piano, returns for an intimate evening upstairs. Suede’s mix of jazz, blues and popular song, combined with her unmistakable voice and wonderful relationship with an audience, is exactly the kind of performance our small listening room was made for.
Folk, a Steve Miller Tribute and Comedy in One Ogunquit Weekend
This three-night stretch from October 16 through 18 might sum up Jonathan’s better than anything we could write about ourselves.
Where else can you spend Friday with an influential singer-songwriter, Saturday singing along to Steve Miller and Sunday laughing with one of Maine’s most famous comedians?
It begins Friday, October 16 at 7:00 PM, when Cris Williamson comes to Ogunquit for a special Breathing Room album release celebration.
Williamson has been an influential voice in independent music for decades. Her landmark 1975 album The Changer and the Changed became one of the defining recordings of the women’s music movement and helped build an independent musical community outside the traditional record industry.
Then we’re turning up the volume.
The Space Cowboys take the stage Saturday, October 17 at 8:30 PM with their Steve Miller tribute and the music behind The Joker, Fly Like an Eagle, Rock’n Me, Jet Airliner, Take the Money and Run and more.
And on Sunday, October 18 at 7:30 PM, it’s Bob Marley.
No, not that Bob Marley.
Maine’s Bob Marley has been making New England audiences laugh for decades with his rapid-fire observations about family, everyday life and, naturally, Maine. He’s appeared on Comedy Central and on late-night television with David Letterman, Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien.
He’s also a longtime Jonathan’s favorite, and if you’ve seen Bob here before, you already know why we keep bringing him back.
The Rolling Stones, Richard Shindell and a Psychic Medium
October keeps going.
19th Nervous Breakdown returns to Jonathan’s on Saturday, October 24 at 8:30 PM, after a blast of a show with us this past spring. They’ll bring the riffs, swagger and enormous songbook of The Rolling Stones back upstairs for another night.
Then, on Sunday, October 25 at 7:00 PM, we switch gears again with acclaimed singer-songwriter Richard Shindell.
Shindell is one of contemporary folk music’s most respected storytellers, known for richly drawn characters and songs that reward actually listening to the words. He’s also known for Cry Cry Cry, his folk collaboration with Dar Williams and Lucy Kaplansky.
And because Halloween is approaching, things get a little more mysterious.
Psychic medium and spirit messenger Vicki Monroe joins us Thursday, October 29 at 7:00 PM for an evening unlike anything else on our fall calendar.
Halloween Weekend in Ogunquit: U2 and Creature Features
Halloween weekend starts with some very big songs.
On Friday, October 30 at 8:00 PM, Joshua Tree brings its U2 tribute to Ogunquit.
Think Sunday Bloody Sunday, Pride In the Name of Love, With or Without You, Where the Streets Have No Name, One and decades of U2 favorites.
Then, on Halloween itself, Saturday, October 31 at 7:00 PM, we’re doing something completely different with Creature Features, a Wild and Scenic Film Festival.
The special Halloween-night program celebrates wildlife, nature and the environment through film. We couldn’t resist putting something a little wild on the calendar for October 31.
November Live Music and Comedy at Jonathan’s Ogunquit
If October jumps all over the musical map, November might have you digging through your old record collection.
We have the Eagles. Van Morrison. Tom Petty. Fleetwood Mac. Plus Crystal Bowersox and some very funny people.
First Stop Hotel California
Another Tequila Sunrise returns for two nights, Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7 at 7:45 PM.
From Take It Easy and Peaceful Easy Feeling to Desperado, Life in the Fast Lane and Hotel California, the Eagles created one of those catalogs where you don’t realize quite how many songs you know until a band starts playing them.
There is a reason Another Tequila Sunrise keeps coming back to Jonathan’s, and a reason we gave them two nights this fall.
From Van Morrison to a Night of Comedy
On Friday, November 13 at 8:00 PM, Moondance takes over the stage with the music of Van Morrison.
Brown Eyed Girl. Into the Mystic. Domino. Tupelo Honey. Moondance.
Van Morrison has spent more than six decades moving between rock, folk, blues, soul and jazz, and Moondance brings that unmistakable catalog to life upstairs at Jonathan’s.
The following night, Saturday, November 14 at 7:30 PM, we’re swapping music for stand-up with Jimmy Cash Comedy.
A New England comedian with a working-class perspective and an easygoing storytelling style, Cash finds plenty of material in family, work and everyday life.
Tom Petty Followed by Crystal Bowersox
The weekend before Thanksgiving is another great example of just how varied our little stage can be.
On Friday, November 20 at 7:30 PM, Runnin’ Down a Dream celebrates one of the great American rock songbooks with a Tom Petty tribute.
American Girl. Refugee. Free Fallin’. Learning to Fly. Mary Jane’s Last Dance. We could keep going.
Then on Saturday, November 21 at 7:30 PM, Crystal Bowersox returns to Jonathan’s.
Millions of people first discovered Bowersox when she finished as runner-up on Season 9 of American Idol, but that’s only part of her story. She’s developed a career as a singer-songwriter rooted in rock, blues, country and Americana, with a powerful voice that’s particularly impressive when you’re hearing it from just a few feet away.
And that’s one of the things we love about this room. Artists you’ve watched on national television or seen on much larger stages suddenly feel very close.
Thanksgiving Weekend at Jonathan’s
Thanksgiving is always one of the biggest weeks of our year, and once Thanksgiving dinner is behind us, we have two more nights planned upstairs.
On Friday, November 27 at 7:30 PM, Paula Poundstone returns.
Paula has been performing stand-up for more than four decades and is known nationally for her quick improvisational style, audience interaction and appearances as a regular panelist on NPR’s Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me.
If you’ve never seen Paula live, be warned: sitting near the front can make you part of the show.
We finish the weekend on Saturday, November 28 at 7:30 PM with Little Lies, a tribute to Fleetwood Mac.
Fleetwood Mac gave us Dreams, Go Your Own Way, The Chain, Rhiannon, Landslide and one of the best-selling albums in music history with Rumours.
Not a bad soundtrack for the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Make It Dinner and a Show in Ogunquit
Of course, we’re a restaurant, too.
One of our favorite parts of having live entertainment at Jonathan’s is watching people make an entire evening out of it: dinner downstairs followed by a show in our intimate Upstairs Listening Room.
If you’re joining us for both, give yourself plenty of time to relax over dinner before heading upstairs. Dinner reservations are strongly recommended on show nights.
Jonathan’s offers different ticket and seating options depending on the performance. Visit the individual show page for current ticket prices, seating options and availability.
Please purchase tickets directly through the official Jonathan’s Ogunquit ticketing website.
Fall in Ogunquit Is Still Part of the Season
We happen to love Ogunquit this time of year.
The summer crowds have thinned. Parking gets easier. The air gets cooler. Restaurants, shops and galleries are still welcoming guests, and there’s something pretty wonderful about spending a fall afternoon along the Maine coast before coming inside for dinner and a show.
Jonathan’s has been doing exactly that since 1976, which makes this fall even more meaningful as we celebrate our 50th anniversary year.
So don’t pack Ogunquit away with your beach chairs. We’ve still got a lot happening upstairs.
